We’ve sailed on over 25 cruises and have done countless excursions all over the Caribbean. Our day with Know Jamaica Tours was the best day we’ve had on a cruise so far and can’t wait to go back! We were on a 7 day Disney Caribbean cruise that got rerouted to the western Caribbean at the last minute due to tropical storms near the Virgin Islands. I immediately reached out to Javia to see if he’d be available to take a group of about 25 of us to Blue hole for the day. Communication was excellent and we planned to meet in Falmouth at 8. We all boarded the bus and headed to Ocho Rios. On the way, Javia informed us blue hole was no longer an option due to a rain storm the previous evening which made the river muddy. We instead went to Dunn’s river falls and I’m glad we did. We had the best time! We all climbed the falls, swam, and overall just had a blast! Afterwards we went to Scotchies for authentic jerk food, and it was probably the best chicken and pork I’ve ever had. We then headed back to the port with plenty of time to shop and get on the ship in time. I can’t believe I’ve never used this company in the past as it was truly an incredible day! Jamaica is now our favorite country and we can’t wait to return and see Javia and our Jamaican mama (our other tour guide!) See you soon, Jamaica ❤️

I visited Ocho Rios with my cruise group of family and friends. From the very minute that I reached out to Javia and Marva, I was impressed! They were very responsive and stayed in touch up until the day we arrived in Jamaica. They answered any questions that I had and asked questions so that they were prepared to accommodate us. There were about 20 people in the group that went on the tour, ranging from ages 6- 60s. They customized our tour based on what we wanted to do…sightseeing, Dunn River Falls and food. Because some of our group members couldn’t do the Falls, Javia worked it out so that while we went to climb the falls, they took the others to the beach so that they wasn’t just sitting doing nothing while waiting on us. They really worked around our every need to accommodate everyone in our group! We got to sightsee and make stops on the way to take great pictures and we ended the day with some great food. My crew loved that our tour was very authentic. They took us to see “real” Jamaica! The tour was very flexible and smooth and educational as Javia told us neat things about the island. Javia showed us different things and answered our questions (including the kids lol). If and when we visit Jamaica again (especially if on a cruise), we will definitely use them again. Knowjamaicatours is an excellent company to book with. My mother is 70, my sister is 48, and I am 50. We wanted to be shown the “real” Jamaica not the resorts. Javia Shaw and his son little J were the perfect hosts. They made us want to go back just to see more Jamaica! Never did we feel uneasy or scared. It was perfect! When I looked to find a day excursion I checked with Trip Advisor first and this is why I booked with KnowJamaicaTours.

My family and I just came back from cruising on Carnival Vista and one of our destinations was to Montego Bay, Jamaica. Prior to hopping aboard the ship, I took to a Facebook Page called Carnival Cruisers…Past, Present, Future (CCPPF) where I asked about different excursions for the different ports we were visiting. Many, not just one, MANY people recommended Javia and Marva Shaw with KnowJamaicaTours to be our tour guide to really get a tour of Jamaica and I’m so glad that I booked with them. Not only was Javia very knowledgeable about his home, he gave us the uncut, real, raw tour of Jamaica, not just some cookie cutter tourist type attraction tour. My family and I got to tour Montego Bay, do some no-rush shopping, interact with locals, try the islands fruits, AND I was even able to get my hair cut while in Jamaica. There is no way we could have gotten that experience had we gone with a different tour agency, there is just no way. We got a great tour and got to do things we wanted to do. I’m telling you; you need to add something to the itinerary (like getting a haircut) Javia will HOOK IT UP!
I can’t stress it enough, if you’re going to any part of Jamaica and you need a tour guide, definitely book with KnowJamaicaTours. Not only do they know their stuff, they genuinely care about the people that book with them and will take great care of you.

We had no idea what to do on our day in Jamaica. We weren’t able to do a lot due to our children’s ages 3,4,9. Javia Shaw was recommended through a cruise page so I reached out to him. After explaining our situation but wanting the Jamaica experience Javia suggested Konoko Falls. We still weren’t sure this was going to be what we wanted but took his advice. Wow were we amazed and happy! This spot is beautiful and a full experience for the entire family. Tons of animals, falls you can climb with any age group, a natural pool, and so much more! After konoko falls he took us through town. Showed us the local car wash (buckets by a stream). Showed us the mechanic shop (guys with tools under some trees). Schools, fire station, so many things, exactly what we wanted to see. He truly listened to what we wanted and provided it! Great experience and can’t wait to return.

We had an excellent time on our tour with Javia. We were late getting off of our cruise ship and he turned around immediately to come back to pick us up and wasn’t upset at all (we felt really bad about it but he was all smiles). Javia was extremely friendly, funny and knowledgeable. We felt completely safe with him and he never left us alone on our excursions to Blue Hole and Dunn’s River Falls (he made sure that we had our own personal guide at all times). During our time with Javia, Marva called and spoke with me to make sure that everything was going smoothly (it was!). I highly recommended Know Jamaica Tours and will definitely book with them again the next time that I am in Jamaica.

These guys are great! We booked with them several months before our cruise and never had problems communicating with them. Royglen was our driver and he was exceptional! He ran ahead of us just so he could turn the van on to cool down, opened doors, was very knowledgeable and kept us laughing! I highly recommend using this company! Thanks for our great tour Royglen!

Best tour company ever!! They are always on time! Patient and willing to make your day your day!!Great people and very knowledgeable about Jamaica. The owners Son even went as far as to go and get me a mango and I promise it was the sweatiest fruit I’ve ever eaten in my life!! We had the best time. Javia was very good and honest. He took us to places people paid more money than and he treated with the most love and showed us the true meaning of Jamaican Hospitality.
